Depends on your budget, I’ll try to list a couple of things you can do in Morocco, but bare in mind that even I, a native, don’t know that much about my country.

You can visit the following places :

  • Tangier, Tetouan : Two cities in the north, best period is in the summer, as it has lots of beaches and wonderful landscapes facing both the ocean and the sea. The cities are quite boring, it’s the surroundings you want to be visiting.
  • Marrakech, a very popular city, best time to visit : All year except for the summer. It gets REALLY hot in the summer, but you can always visit the surroundings, and maybe go hiking in Mount Toubkal, the highest summit in North Africa.

  • Merzouga : Probably europeans’ favourite, it’s where the landscapes you don’t have in Europe ( if you’re from Europe ).

  • Chefchaouen, foreigners visit for the beautiful streets, and for weed.

  • Other cities are quite beautiful, especially smaller cities and villages, people tend to be way more welcoming and warm, and very kind.
  • Due to a conflict in the south, I wouldn’t advice you to visit south of Ouarzazate and Dakhla :

As a native, and having heard tourists complain about people trying to scum them, demanding money, or harassing them, I have two big advices to give you when visiting : It is better if you’re with a native, and avoid big cities.

The languages spoken here are mainly Arabic, Berber, French, Spanish ( In the north, and some places in the south ), and sometimes, but not that much English.

Feel free to send me a private message if you are visiting, I would be very happy to show you around.
